Jillian Noel Hennessy

Jillian Noel Hennessy is a Canadian actor and singer from Canada. Her most well-known roles include those on American television's Law & Order where she was the prosecutor Claire Kincaid for three seasons and Crossing Jordan for six. She was also a part of films like RoboCop 3 & Most Wanted and independent films Chutney Popcorn & The Acting Class. The film was directed and written by her. Hennessy was born and was raised in Edmonton, Alberta. John Hennessy was her father. He was a meat seller and an executive in sales and marketing. The job involved lots of travel, which led to frequent family moves. Maxine Her mother, also known as Maxine, died in the year 1982. She left her daughter under the care of Eleanor Her paternal grandmother. John Paul Hennessy Jr. has a younger brother as well as Jacqueline who is a twin. Jacqueline works as host and journalist for a Canadian TV program. Hennessy's ancestry includes Irish, French, Swedish and Italian descent on her father's and most Ukrainian Roma on her mother's. After graduation from Grand River Collegiate Institute (both located in Kitchener), she went to Stanley Park Senior Public School. She also worked on the Toronto subway. Hennessy along with her sister and their first acting role was as twin call girls in 1988's Dead Ringers. According to Gillian Anderson (the actress who played the part) she was a finalist for the role of Dana Scully in The X-Files. In 1993, Hennessy was signed by Dick Wolf as Claire Kincaid, assistant district attorney in the NBC crime drama Law & Order. She played the role for three seasons and then quit the show in 1996.
